In 1907 Edward Habelman was offered to trade his farm for 1/2 interest in a cranberry marsh and associated operations. Edward accepted the offer and 7 short years later secured a loan from a bank to purchase the remaining 1/2 interest of the business. Edward and his sons expanded the farm from 13 to 25 acres by 1925.
